I enjoyed the superb acting of Bill Bixby in the Incredible Hulk television show from 1978 to 1983. He made his character sad and lonely and always on the move which opened the show up to very interesting stories.
Bixby was also a talented director and directed Mayim Bialik in Blossom when she was younger ( I love her in Big Bang Theory).
I like real actors putting on green body paint and really acting instead of the digital Hulks I have seen in movies, but that is just me.
The Borg in Star Trek are terrific beings that function as a collective assimilating any humanoid life by adding nanites and creepy mechanical appendages. The Borg add a scary element to The Next Generation, Voyager, and First Contact. It is interesting that Capt. Picard can hear the Borg due to being implanted with their nanites.
Thank goodness the crew rescued Picard and 7 of 9 for that matter. I think her character is great in Star Trek Voyager, she brought a lot of interesting stories to the show.
The overall message of what you believe, in the movie Wonder Woman, is wonderful and welcome. I love the innocence of the character and how she wants to protect those who cannot defend themselves, she learns that not only she can choose love but people can choose as well.
It’s about what you believe. And I believe in love. Only love will truly save the world. Diana Prince.
We may receive the best training and lessons from home ( or not) and yet, going into the world and learning by experience can be the best way to understand our true purpose.
I used to want to save the world, to end war and bring peace to mankind. But then I glimpsed the darkness that lives within their light. I learnt that inside every one of them there will always be both. The choice each must make for themselves – something no hero will ever defeat. And now I know… that only love can truly save the world. So now I stay, I fight, and I give – for the world I know can be. This is my mission now, for ever. Diana Prince.
I enjoy and find beauty in all art, from the grand masters to the undiscovered talents that exist in this world. Science fiction art can be dark or colorful, depict an uncertain future or the hope for something brighter, or it can be for the sole purpose of creating. Either way, I enjoy discovering new pieces and appreciating quality and design.
Some paintings can help me use my imagination to travel in my mind to other countries, worlds, galaxies, and hope that what is natural will abide; without judgement.
Before we go off gallivanting across the galaxy, we as humans, need to learn to live in peace.
I hope that can be achieved one day soon.
Saving Hope is a supernatural medical drama, I never thought I would see the words supernatural and medicine in the same sentence, but this show manages to pull it off because of the very handsome and talented Michael Shanks and for me the characters of Maggie Lin and Sydney Katz. It is more like a soap opera but these three persons have kept me interested in the show. I really loved Michael Shanks in StargateSG1, but that will be another post.
I have to add, I love the shows and movies that Canada has been making!
